KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase growth of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the enlargement had been accredited in 2013 in response to growing market demand for larger equipment. Since then, the Grovetown facility has completed upgrades, added tens of thousands of square feet to its foundry, increased furnace capability, completed development on a distribution centre, and received approval for three additional phases of improvement.
With the completion of the venture, KSB has quadrupled its capacity to mildew castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its maximum pouring output by up to 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), lowered the variety of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleaning stations for big castings, carried out new expertise and effectivity options, and doubled worker locker room amenities.
KSB went ahead with the project’s completion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its financial fallout.

In 2020, the KSB Group launched KSB Mining, a new market-driven group offering experience on centrifugal pumps to mining operations.
The expanded services in Grovetown serve as the headquarters of GIW Slurry Pumps.
GIW presently employs over 600 folks at its Grovetown facility.
